Keeping Fundraisers Fundraising

Keeping Fundraisers Fundraising

A NON-PROFIT EMPOWERMENT PODCAST SERIES

Led by Jim Eskin, Fundraising Trainer/Consultant

For the past few decades, fundraiser retention has perplexed the non-profit sector. It’s now reached a crisis level. A landmark Association of Fundraising Professionals study highlights the severity of the crisis. Based on responses from more than 1,000 AFP members, it chillingly revealed that 51% of fundraisers say they will leave their current non-profit within 2 years, and 30% of fundraisers say they plan to leave the profession altogether. The consequences are devastating measured by the time and costs to replace professionals, not to mention, the huge loss in “trust capital” that these development professionals had prudently developed among donors, especially major gift donors. Sally Bryant is CEO, BRYANT GROUP, one of the nation’s most respected experts on human capital. Both employers and employees gain rich and timely insights from Sally and her firm that has specialized in recruiting advancement professionals since 1988.Through her work with hundreds of non-profits of all sizes and representing all different sectors, and the guidance and wisdom she has provided to thousands of practitioners, we couldn’t think of anyone better suited to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented in Keeping Fundraisers Fundraising.
