A NON-PROFIT EMPOWERMENT PODCAST SERIES
Led by Jim Eskin, Fundraising Trainer/Consultant
John Donohue is a consummate advancement practitioner and leader. He currently serves as Vice President for College Advancement at The College of New Jersey, a position he has held since 2012 and steps down at the end of the year. His distinguished 43-year career spans excellence in fundraising and advancement for a wide range of non-profits including as Executive Vice President for Development at the United Negro College Fund, and leadership roles at Dillard University, The University of Texas at San Antonio, The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and United Way of Long Island. Great leaders achieve the most profound impact not by their personal accomplishments, but by the teams they build and the staff they mentor and develop into high-performing professionals. Over these exciting four decades, John has successfully mentored countless men and women who have gone on to lead distinguished careers in the advancement and fundraising arenas. I have a personal appreciation of his mentoring capacity because I was one of his mentees when I pivoted from public relations to the development profession in the 1990s.
